WELCOME to Henley-in-Arden in Warwickshire, one of the prettiest towns in England: a mile-long High Street of medieval, Tudor, Georgian and Victorian architecture including 150 historic buildings, shops, pubs and restaurants, with a history dating back to the 12th century. Visiting Henley is like diving into an Enid Blyton novel.
From duck races to ancient mounds, from summer music festivals to the famous ice-cream parlour. A glorious bakery with fresh smells filling the high street offers picnic treats, and a good old-fashioned butcher can fill your BBQ for summer feasts. Henley seems to have a little bit of whatever you fancy, whatever your age.

You can sleep in a 17th century pub that has been converted into luxury apartments, or an old coaching inn that still has bedrooms above the bar and beer on tap. You can glamp, bring your motorhome, stay in a tipi or sleep on a canal barge. Treasure hunts, heritage trails and the Millennium Way beg for your walking boots, and the Bard and his influence touch the edges of this small town minus the normal tourist trappings.

Support local independent shops selling delicious regional food, browse in the quirky vintage boutiques, and merrily eat your way through traditional pasties, gastro pub fare, the obligatory British institution of fish 'n' chips and even a stunning fine dining restaurant with one of the stars of Great British Menu at the helm - all within a short distance of each other along 'the Henley Mile.'

For longer stays, Henley-in-Arden is also ideally placed to visit the region’s many other attractions, including Shakespeare’s birthplace and the RSC in Stratford-upon-Avon, the British Motor Museum, Warwick Castle, Kenilworth Castle, and the National Trust properties at Packwood House, Baddesley Clinton, Charlecote Park and Coughton Court.

And just in case you are wondering: Henley-in-Arden is not to be confused with the other Henley, Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire, home of the annual regatta.

Welcome to Warwickshire. Welcome to Henley-in-Arden. We hope you enjoy our lovely town.
